Executive Team

ABBEY DONEGER
President
Abbey joined the company in 1973 and became President in 1980. He initiates corporate strategic planning, oversees all company operations, maintains and builds client relationships and develops new business. Through the addition of services, divisions and strategic acquisitions, Abbey has led the development of The Doneger Group into the largest and most prominent retail and fashion merchandising consulting firm in the industry.

THOMAS BURNS
Senior Vice President
Tom oversees, maintains and builds client relationships and supports the company's strategic and new business initiatives. In addition, he directs the HDA International business. Tom joined The Doneger Group in 1990 with over 15 years of industry experience, including Burns Winkler Associates, which later merged with the Van Buren Buying Office (VBW), where Tom was a principal. Tom previously has been President of Ballinger Gold, and Vice President of Kirk Palmer & Associates.

LESLIE GHIZE
Senior Vice President
Leslie is responsible for corporate strategy, new business development and marketing as it relates to the branding and positioning of the company. She works with senior executives to define the company's service and product offering, and execute corporate and division-specific initiatives. In addition, Leslie oversees trend and color forecasting, brand merchandising, content development, design, production and the company's web presence. Before joining The Doneger Group, Leslie spent 10 years at Talbots in trend research and product development.

ROSEANNE CUMELLA
Senior Vice President, Merchandising
Roseanne oversees the company's dress and outerwear divisions, developing strategic merchandising plans and cultivating relationships with the company's retail clients and industry manufacturers. She works closely with a team of market analysts to define and communicate the market direction in these categories. Prior to joining The Doneger Group in 1986, Roseanne was with Associated Dry Goods as Divisional Vice President.

KATHY BRADLEY-RILEY
Senior Vice President, Merchandising
Kathy manages the day-to-day operations and client development for the women's sportswear division, including the research, analysis, and communication of business, trend and merchandising issues driving these categories. She joined The Doneger Group in 1990 having worked for 11 years in buying, merchandising and product development at VBW Associates.

PATTY LETO
Senior Vice President, Merchandising
Patty is responsible for the strategic market analysis and client servicing for women's accessories, intimate apparel, men's and childrenswear. She joined The Doneger Group in 2010 with an extensive background in retail and wholesale, including executive merchandising positions at Macy's and, most recently, the Jones Apparel Group, where she served as President of Energie, Currants and the company's L.E.I. Knit division.

LEE MANDELBAUM
Executive Vice President, Price Point Buying
Lee leads a team of market specialists in sourcing the most opportunistic buys for clients of Price Point Buying, the company's off-price division. He joined The Doneger Group in 1996 when the company acquired the firm in which he was a principal, Certified Fashion Guild. Lee has over 25 years of experience in off-price merchandising.

MARGARET LORENZ
Senior Vice President, Finance and Operations
Margaret provides financial, administrative, operational and technical leadership and guidance to the company. In addition, she has been instrumental in streamlining all publishing and production processes. Margaret joined the company in 2000 with 10 years of accounting and finance experience in both publicly and privately held corporations.

MARYANNE MOORE
Director, Office Operations and Human Resources
Maryanne is involved in all personnel, administrative and office operations. She has had a variety of responsibilities in the company including product development, office management and collaboration on various strategic projects, giving her a broad knowledge of the company business in its enitirety. Maryanne joined the company in 1987 after nine years at the Van Buren Buying Office.
